In the span of these past few days, I have shed more tears than I would have preferred. Though we were neither kith nor kin, I was upset by the news of mr lky's passing. It was a type of undramatic grief, void of the common hyperbolic breakdowns. It took its time to unfold as I slowly realised the extent of our loss as a nation through my renewed interests in the documented records of his work on the tele, the radio and the papers.
Like many of my peers, I have always wanted a political change to happen for us. For the many whom I knew, new faces and names were an imperative. For me, party lines were not what divided my mind, it was the lack of a substitute for mr lee. When will there come a second leader like him again?
