yesterday it was raining really heavily when i was on my way to the gym and as usual i was totally unconscious of my surroundings with my music turned on loudly. but just as i walked about a yard from the station, i heard this deafening 'bang' and i turned around to see that this HUGE tree has actually collapsed behind me. if i had taken five more seconds to make my way out of the station i would have probably been pinned down by the tree. my initial response was of course relief. i mean seriously, it was one big tree ><
thank goodness i didn't get killed by a tree because that would have been really silly. sometimes i really wonder what kind of karma i must have accumulated to keep getting trapped in such situations. if i had a video camera strapped onto my head, i think the stuff i get down will be entertaining enough for reality tv. maybe even too much drama. sometimes, i just think that being really really really ordinary will be good enough. isn't a simple life with enough food, friends and money good enough for a person to last a lifetime?
i have been watching a lot of tv shows lately and there's this staple scene in korean dramas that always make me feel that what i'm watching is really not very real. do you know when the guy hugs the girl or vice versa after a lengthy, cringe worthy, sappy speech...the camera always pulls away and the scene fades off into black? what do they do after that? isn't it awkward? i mean in the identities of the characters, wouldn't it be very unnatural for them to move away after hugging? haha. i think i'm over-analyzing things as usual but i just find it weird. but maybe i am weird too for feeling so embarrassed that i could die for them.
a tree, fallen over.
