None falls over

you cannot afford to wait for perfect conditions.
it is often a matter of balancing timing against the available resources.
opportunities are easily lost while waiting for the perfect conditions.

can't believe its already valentine's day, this year has been going much faster than I thought it would. which is great, actually. road run was yesterday- and gamma won overall champ- again. there's some sort of pride in that I guess, it felt good to be there and all, its a strange joy. against all will and against all prejudices, there must be some sort of good in all this triumph. i walked and walked and walked and walked the whole thing with staf, which was much fun. well, at least we got back in time and we weren't last or anything, which was a relief. aside from the usual discomfiture (reads: gagging), the entire thing was quite a stroll. had a talk with hx after that which was quite funny actually; commiserating over our pathetic life in tj thus far, against the splashing of all that hawker gunk in the gutter by one cleaner who is either very rude, or terribly inefficient.

and i am so craving for a good cup of eggnog. it has been ages since i have drank one that's half-decent here not to mention that it is so elusive a drink that people just go 'huh?' when you ask for it at the counter. well, i miss my alcoholic liquid fat. well, it doesn't have to have alcohol to be nice. eggnog, is just, well, eggnog. eggnog in giant mugs ftw. oh and i had a fight with my entire family again- because of food- which is quite absurd really. but i guess im kind of immune to all these tiffs, they happen too randomly for me to be prepared and i have since given up. but things always happen and just knowing that they will happen leaves me in some weird comfort, it is like all this predicted chaos has given some sort of order in my life- which as strange as it might sound, is all very good for me. predictability is good, but the predictability of the unpredicted is even better. =)

am reading again. and to find myself turning pages after pages of words beyond the sole purpose of trying to memorize them is surprisingly therapeutic.

i can't wait for the next one.
