just finished watching ms. sg universe. have some mixed feelings about it, as in like, as a beauty pageant i feel superficiality should take precedence over wits after all they used to say a beauty pageant is just another nicer name for a meat parade. it acty brought back some vague residue of my childhood, while many people around me wanted desperately to be some beauty queen, policeman, doctor or some ambitious profession, i, the stupidly uneducated yeo xinzi, wanted to be a zookeeper. to me, that was sheer glamour, working amongst the animals, smellng just like them, must have been the over-watching of the discovery and national geographic channels that robbed me of my sancity. or perhaps, it has been the exposure to the unwanted and unnecessary influence of the media that robbed me of my innocence. bleah, back on my childhood ambitions later, now it's back to 2006 miss universe! well, at the start of the show, was the part, where i assume with a monumental list of great reasons would be the only reason, people like mr ong eng kiat would tune in to watch the show. ogling at the long-legged beauties, ahahaha, such a typical action and behaviour of mr ong that i have come to unfortunately associated mr ong with. well, after the first round, my favourite contestant was well...andrea something. can't remember. haha, i like her legs, they are long but not too long, well, she's quite good looking too. =)

hmms, after that segment, i briefly shuttled channels to HBO and caught a glimpse of "the elf" the film starring will ferrell, or something. (can't spell his name) i soon got a little irritated with all the baby-talk and the commercializing of christmas, but hahaha, the baby at the beginning of the show was pretty cute! after that i switched it back to the ms universe pageant. it was the segment where by the contestants had to walk down the stage with their mothers, hahaha, it soon became apparent that not all ugly parents bear asthetically-unappealing offspring. x) so, after that round, my favourite was still the andrea person. lol. she walks with POISE. lol, something, that I have yet to learn. hahaha. okay...well, so i channel surfed again and decided i should watch my new korean vcd =D so i shuttled between the korean show and the competition. well, until the Q&A part that is. i found the intelligence of the girls simply threatening, wow, they are intelligent, charismatic and beautiful, such is the unfairness of life that makes ME want to work harder. well, perhaps it's impossible that i become prettier...well, shall work on the intelligence quotient part and probably the charisma part. HAHAHA. just imagine...me. well, i dont' dare to. it's probably quite a nightmare to imagine myself in a competition like this. anyway, after the Q&A session, i began to feel that the jade person was smarter (nt really gd with surnames). hahaha, she's pretty cool, that i admired. hahaha. so anyway, she got first runner up, what a pity =x hahaha, felt that she deserved the crown.

all right, enough of the ahh-ing of the pageant. hahaha, simply reveals more about my nonsensical beliefs in life. haha. all right, until then, i shall continue to learn to be more feminine. LOL. it's that important eh?
